In 1769, John Farquarharson undertook a Survey of north Loch Tayside, producing 24 plans showing farm boundaries, arable fields, woodland, pasture and meadows, as well as farmsteads, mills, smithies, schoolhouses, roads and bridges. To learn more about this work and the 2002 survey carried out by the RCAHMS go to John Farquharson's 1769 Survey of North Lochtayside.
