Loch Tay Shore and Underwater Archaeology
Between 2003 and 2005, the project investigated the archaeology of the shoreline, the area just adjacent to the shore and the loch bed, up to 150m below the surface. The first programme of shorewalking began in March 2003 – to learn about this go to the 2003 Shorewalking Survey. Phase 2 of the Shore and Underwater Survey took place in March 2004. The 2005 Shore and Underwater Archaeology Survey was carried out between March and April 2005. The results of this work have added to our understanding of Loch Tay and the people who lived both on it and along its shores.
