specialist analysis

In total over 6,500 artefacts were recovered during the field seasons of the Ben Lawers Project. They range from the exceptional, such as the Beaker from Balnahanaid, to the mundane and include a wide range and variety of materials. Specialist studies and scientific analyses of artefacts and environmental evidence from excavations help to shed light on how communities around the loch lived in the past.

Geophyiscal survey was undertaken at a number of sites around Ben Lawers, using a combination of ground penetrating radar (GPR), resistance, and magnetometer surveys.
